The Sierra Nevada community in Madera, Fresno, and Mariposa Counties has been hit hard by the Creek Fire. We want to say thank you to the firefighters and first responders working so hard to protect homes and lives. We’d also like to thank the Red Cross for helping the over 15,000 Madera County Evacuees get connected to the available resources. The work of these organizations has been outstanding, and we’re hopeful that the fire will be contained as quickly as possible.
The Madera County Food Bank has been busy providing evacuees with breakfast foods and snacks. We were able to purchase cereals, snacks, and other shelf stable items to keep displaced families fed while they’re away from their homes. If you would like to support our efforts by donating breakfast cereals or shelf stable snacks for evacuees, we are currently accepting donations. You can drop off food donations to the food bank at 225 S. Pine Street Madera, CA 93637.
If you’re unable to provide a food donation, the food bank is also accepting monetary donations. Every cent donated will go towards feeding the Creek Fire Evacuees. With your monetary support, we’ll be able to buy in bulk at lower rates. Anything you donate for the Creek Fire efforts will go towards feeding the need of the Creek Fire evacuees. Thank you all for your support!
