The COVID-19 pandemic changed many people’s lives. Jobs were lost. Financial burdens increased. Even the simple act of buying everyday essentials and groceries became difficult. Though the pandemic is starting to turn around, many families and individuals find themselves still struggling to put food on the table.
At Madera County Food Bank, we have been working double-time to ensure every individual in need of food is taken care of. We have been serving 65,000 individuals a month and distributing up to 500,000 pounds of food a month since the pandemic, compared to our regular numbers of 45,000 individuals a month and distributing 275,000 pounds of food a month. That is why now is the time to become a Champion of Hope, our new monthly donation program. By becoming a monthly Champion, you will help families receive much-needed food in Madera.
Champions are essential to Madera County Food Bank. Our Champions of Hope know that giving monthly allows us to spend less time fundraising and more time assisting families, individuals, and seniors that need emergency food. Check out our different levels and become a Champion of Hope:
